Nokia Betalabs released the Nokia Messaging for Social Networks beta for the E72, E71, and E63 on Monday. I installed it on the Nokia E72 and the experience was awful. Don’t waste your time downloading this version. Stick with Gravity or the mobile web.

This app gives users access to their Twitter and Facebook accounts. When I log in, the password form actually shows my full password instead of hiding each letter. After signing in, I see a “loading” message for about 5 seconds and then an “updating” message for a few more seconds, only to see the 5 latest tweets or news feed items. After all that wait, the tweets and feed items show up, but it needs more time to to load up the thumbnail photos of my friends. This app is slow… even if you are connected to 3G or WiFi.
Prevent a headache and do not download this beta software. You’ll have a better experience with Gravity or the mobile sites for Facebook and Twitter. If you tried this app, we’d like to know your experience as well.
